Department of Japanese Studies

Project Co-ordinator II 

The appointee will be responsible for (a) managing admissions, administration and related matters of the undergraduate programme; (b) compiling teaching timetables, and liaising with internal parties on timetable scheduling and classroom bookings; (c) handling one-year exchange programme and credit transfer applications; (d) providing support for undergraduate students and related activities; (e) assisting administrative tasks related to academic visitor nomination, mid-term curriculum survey, grade appeal and plagiarism case handling; and (f) performing other tasks as assigned by the Department. 

 

Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor’s degree; (ii) at least 2 years’ work experience; (iii) an excellent command of English and Chinese (knowledge of Japanese will be advantageous); (iv) a strong sense of responsibility; (v) a pleasant attitude with good communication skills and team spirit; (vi) good organisational and problem-solving skills; (vii) self-motivation, and a mature and meticulous work attitude; and (viii) the ability to work independently and multitask within tight deadlines. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an interview and sit for a written test.

Appointment will initially be made on a 1-year contract commencing as soon as possible, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
