Executive Officer II
The appointee will be responsible for (a) managing a full spectrum of administrative duties of academic programmes; (b) liaising with different stakeholders and Japanese institutions for exchange activities; (c) providing support to both major and minor students; (d) collecting and analysing relevant data on student needs and performance; (e) providing executive support for teaching, curriculum and academic assurance in the Department; (f) providing secretarial support to Department committees; and (g) performing other tasks as assigned by the Department.
Applicants should have (i) a good Bachelor’s degree; (ii) fulfilled the English language requirements set out on the website: https://www.hro.cuhk.edu.hk/en-gb/languageforeo; (iii) at least 1 year’s post-qualification executive experience; (iv) an excellent command of English and Chinese; (v) a strong sense of responsibility; (vi) a pleasant personality with good communication skills and team spirit; (vii) good organisational and problem-solving skills; (viii) attentiveness to details and a professional manner in handling sensitive or confidential matters; and (ix) the ability to work independently and multitask within tight deadlines. Having knowledge of Japanese and/or study abroad experience in Japan will be advantageous. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.

Appointment will initially be made on a 2-year contract with contract-end gratuity, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
